Heritage Hospice of Texas, formerly Angels in Waiting Hospice, is commited to caring for individuals touched by life-threatening illness, grief, and loss. We believe that all people have the right to compassionate, quality, end-of-life care.
We are all committed to helping our patients and their families live life to the fullest....not just help them reach the end of their lives. Every member of the family plays an important part and it is important that each person gets the opportunity to function and interact at the highest degree possible.
What is Hospice?
Hospice provides palliative care instead of curative treatments. Hospice offers comfort to patients who are approaching the completion of their lives. Physicians, nurses, social workers and chaplains team up to design a plan of care that delivers pain control, symptom management, and the best possible quality of life to hospice patients. Bereavement services are provided to family members. As with home health, patients have a right to choose their own hospice provider. Home health patients who use Heritage Home Health, our sister company, can even choose to have members of their home health team to continue as a part of their hospice team.
